December 2018 Meeting

Jon,

Fantastic presentation last week. I enjoyed my visit to the MUG and will return!

After doing some thinking, and learning, it seems that a Raid 5 is not a backup solution. I'm wondering if a Raid 1 with say 8 drives (4 net) would be a better solution for a home media server... say like Plex.

Thoughts?

Ron

Next meeting: Tuesday, 11 December, 2018

First Half Hour at 6 PM
Main Presentation at 6:30 PM

Topic: Party!

It's time for our annual holiday party. Time to come and chat with fellow members. Time to bring interesting hardware or software to show others. Time to bring family, so they know what we are up to at MacinTech meetings. Time to bring prospective members and earn that bounty. Time to enjoy eating goodies, and being around for the many drawings.

As in previous years, bring a little holiday food to share with others, if you can. MacinTech will supply  plasticware, plates, cups and non-alcoholic drinks. No alcohol allowed.

Let's party!

The meeting is at the Metrum Credit Union, 1/3 of a mile south of Arapahoe on the east side of Holly in Centennial. The doors will open at 6 PM, and the visit time will be from 6 PM to 6:30 PM. A good time to ask questions and get advice from fellow members!

As always, we will meet about 5 PM and the Panera Bread on the SE corner of Holly and Orchard for a little supper.
