June 2018 Meeting

Jon,

Fantastic presentation last week. I enjoyed my visit to the MUG and will return!

After doing some thinking, and learning, it seems that a Raid 5 is not a backup solution. I'm wondering if a Raid 1 with say 8 drives (4 net) would be a better solution for a home media server... say like Plex.

Thoughts?

Ron

Next meeting: Tuesday, 12 June, 2018

First Half Hour at 6 PM
Main Presentation at 6:30 PM
Take Control Books

Joe Kissell will be joining us via FaceTime. As you probably know, Joe is the new Publisher of Take Control Books. He will get us caught up on everything that's happening. And, then...

Go behind the scenes with Take Control Books! Joe will demonstrate how his publishing company works its magic, then ask for your input as he explores ways to make Take Control even more helpful.

Please bring your ideas. What would you like to see in Take Control Books that will help you the most. What types of learning are best for you? How do you learn? Are the current books well paced? What topics are most useful for you?

The meeting is at the Metrum Credit Union, 1/3 of a mile south of Arapahoe on the east side of Holly in Centennial. The doors will open at 6 PM, and the visit time will be from 6 PM to 6:30 PM. A good time to ask questions and get advice from fellow members! As always, we will meet about 5 PM and the Panera Bread on the SE corner of Holly and Orchard for a little supper.
